FileMaker Releases New ODBC Update for Mac OS X
LONDON, UK, March 30th, 2005 -- FileMaker International today announced the release of a new ODBC Update for Mac OS X for use with FileMaker Pro 7, Developer 7 and Server 7 Advanced. This much anticipated update includes the FileMaker ODBC Client Driver for Mac OS X (10.3.x or 10.2.x). This software was previously available only on Windows operating systems.
The ODBC Client Driver software gives Mac customers the ability to use FileMaker products as an ODBC data source for sharing information with a wide range of Mac desktop, database or web applications. Installation is easy, and customers can utilise the provided ReadMe file and associated documentation that ships with their product (Pro 7, Developer 7 or Server 7 Advanced) to quickly set up ODBC functionality with any FileMaker application.
