19 April, 2005 - Rainier PR today completed the acquisition of Lighthouse PR, bringing together two of the UK’s most innovative technology PR agencies.
The transaction positions Rainier PR as a top 12 technology PR agency in PR Week magazine’s UK rankings, based on combined 2004 financial results. Rainier PR’s goal is to become a top five UK technology PR agency within five years.
Rainier PR will maintain Lighthouse PR as a discrete line of business within its operation. Lighthouse PR has moved into Rainier PR’s London office near Oxford Circus and will share common resources and management.
Steve Earl and Stephen Waddington remain joint managing directors of Rainier PR. Sean Gough, formerly managing director of Lighthouse PR, has joined the Rainier PR management board.
Rainier PR has promoted Alia Ilyas to the role of business development director to integrate the two companies and develop business. Uday Radia, formerly a director of Lighthouse PR joins Rainier PR as a director, with responsibility for developing Lighthouse PR as a line of business within Rainier PR.
Rainier PR and Lighthouse PR have both been at the forefront of PR practice innovation since their respective launches, both in 1998. Rainier PR’s senior consultancy service model, headlines first planning methodology, and newsjacking and blogging initiatives have gained industry-wide acclaim, as has Lighthouse PR’s transparent business model and award winning PR programmes that are directly tied to sales lead generation.
