Tridion, the recognised European leader of Content Management Solutions, today announces the launch of Tridion WebForms™, a software tool for creating, updating and rapidly deploying online forms. This new product has been specifically developed to exploit the power of online Web forms and help businesses move towards relational communications – intelligent, targeted and accurate communication with online audiences.
Tridion WebForms dramatically improves the way companies are able to communicate with their audiences by allowing web editors to concentrate on just the forms they want to deliver. As business rules and presentation are already defined, the need for support and intervention from the IT department is reduced. It is also possible to integrate WebForms with back-office systems, automated email responders and CRM systems. Any changes that have to be made to an online form after the initial rollout can be instantly made by the Web editor without having to involve their IT resource.
In practice, this might mean adding a short explanatory text to a part of the form that users find confusing. Alternatively, following analysis of user activity, it may be necessary to reorder or rephrase individual elements of a form to ensure accurate data capture. This enables companies to react more quickly and reliably to requests, and maintain and build trust with customers.
“Web forms are now being integrated into many Web sites and the number of businesses using these forms to communicate with their Web audiences is rising fast,” says Jaco van Wilgenburgh, Director of Marketing, Tridion. “But many of these businesses are still unable to derive maximum benefit from these forms – they’re not set up to react to customer input – or lack of it. Tridion WebForms addresses this challenge and allows companies to rapidly adjust or reconfigure web forms, without needing to involve the IT department.
Notes for editors
- Ease of use
An intuitive and easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows users to access the Tridion WebForms Designer application. Drag and drop creation of multi page, dynamic online forms, WYSIWYG editing and instant editing of textual elements accelerate the creation and updating process
- Fast time-to-market
By separating the content creation component of a Web form from the technical elements such as the presentation and business rules Tridion WebForms gives non-technical business users the capability to update and improve the effectiveness of their online forms without the need for technical assistance from their IT department.
- Improved customer interaction
Tridion WebForms speeds up the process of building and modifying dynamic online forms based on the feedback received from users of a company’s Web site. Online forms are a powerful way of communicating with customers as they enable quicker and more relevant responses to incoming enquiries by ensuring forms are correctly routed to appropriate departments in real-time.
- Improved employee productivity and reliability
Easy access to WebForms through a standard web browser and built-in drag-and-drop components such as auto-fill fields, automatic routing and persistency control simplify the creation of intelligent online forms. Working with predefined templates and prewritten validation rules minimises operator error rates.
- Repurposing already developed content
Existing customers using Tridion’s content management products to publish and manage their web content can integrate Tridion WebForms easily – the immediate benefit being able to re-use all existing layout definition, from page templates to component templates.
