OutlookSoft Everest allows multinational construction company to leverage financial and operational information across thousands of construction projects
====================================================================================================================

Richmond upon Thames, Surrey - OutlookSoft Corporation, the leading provider of business performance management (BPM) solutions based on the Microsoft (NASDAQ NM:MSFT) Business Intelligence platform, today announced that international Dutch construction company Ballast Nedam is implementing OutlookSoft Everest for its enterprise-scale BPM platform.

Ballast Nedam is responsible for a number of key European construction projects including the Zeeland Bridge, the longest bridge in the Netherlands and the third longest bridge in Europe and has a long-standing record in international construction. Driving Ballast Nedam’s decision to purchase and implement OutlookSoft was the company’s need to manage, plan and forecast effectively across its thousands of active and historical construction projects.

Ballast Nedam will leverage the OutlookSoft solution as its dedicated platform to enable group-wide financial data consolidation and analysis including project tracking and order book forecasting. The solution will enable the company’s planning and finance functions to collect, consolidate and analyse financial, operational, and transactional data from disparate source systems across the enterprise. Everest's extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) technology (leveraging Microsoft Data Transformation Services) makes federated data access and integration simple.

“The beauty of OutlookSoft Everest is that it’s a full-fledged BPM platform that allows information to be integrated and used across the business for practically any BPM-related process,” said Daniel Wabeke financialgroup controller. “We run a complex, project-based business. Upon evaluating the market and the alternative solutions, it became readily apparent that OutlookSoft was for Ballast Nedam the most suitable solution capable of solving our problem of how to access, leverage and manage a large volume of contract-based information in an integrated way.”

Upon centralizing its performance related data, Ballast Nedam’s planning, project management and financial executives will utilize Everest in the future to analyse trends and performance across all of the company’s operations and projects for planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and scorecarding (including KPI management). Everest’s web-based interface means that finance and planning executives around the world can easily log into Everest via a standard Internet browser.

To date the solution is being rolled out to approximately 50 management-level users in several different reporting units, and will at least be used by 100 additional users covering finance, HR, and other key operational roles by the end of the year.

“Everest will give us a single, unified system that meets the performance analysis needs of project, corporate, and business units,” said Mr Wabeke. “The solution will improve the quality and uniformity of data, thus optimising the whole reporting process and ensuring all projects are being effectively managed. Moreover, during the development process, we came to appreciate the solution’s inherent extensibility. We found Everest flexible and easy to customize, further enabling us to meet our BPM needs.”

“The Ballast Nedam implementation is a testimony to OutlookSoft Everest’s ability to provide business performance management for complex, project-based businesses,” said Richard Hawksworth, managing director for OutlookSoft UK and Ireland. “Everest provides this functionality while preserving the customer’s investment in their given technology environment, ensuring a rapid implementation, a fast return on investment, and low cost of ownership.”
