Azure Solutions, the revenue-assurance company, today announced it has appointed Pete Watts as head of fraud operations, as Azure further consolidates its position as a leading provider of telecoms fraud-management solutions.

Pete has over 30 years’ telecoms experience and joins Azure from BT Wholesale, where he was head of fraud operations and services. Prior to that Pete was fraud risk manager at BT, where he was responsible for identifying, managing and reducing current and potential fraud loss within BT Group and its joint ventures. This involved delivering fraud-management technical solutions and training to the specifications of BT and its customers, enabling BT to reduce fraud to world-leading levels.

John Cronin, president and CEO of Azure Solutions, said: “We are very pleased that Pete has joined Azure. He brings great experience and understands the fraud management issues that face major operators. Fraud is of increasing concern for many operators, and we hope to utilise Pete’s expertise to continue to deliver effective fraud-management solutions to customers worldwide.”
