ADIC appoints Posetiv as eVAR in enterprise product drive
**Vendor that is 'revolutionising backup' plans to repeat success of recent SME reseller drive in enterprise space**

Winnersh, Berkshire - 17 May 2005 - Advanced Digital Information Corporation (Nasdaq: ADIC) today announced that it has recruited storage solutions integrator Posetiv Ltd as an enterprise value-added reseller (EVAR) in the first of a drive of recruitments to double ADIC's sales in the enterprise sector.

The eVAR drive is part of a new initiative led by Cristina James, the newly-appointed eVAR channel manager for ADIC who joined ADIC from Quantum.

Under the terms of the agreement, effective immediately, Posetiv will resell ADIC's enterprise-level products including the Scalar i2000, ADIC's next-generation tape library and the Pathlight VX, ADIC's integrated disk backup solution. The Pathlight VX provides scalable disk capacity, which looks like a tape library to the backup application, and connects directly to the physical tape library.

Posetiv designs, delivers and supports enterprise-level storage solutions to private and public business sectors across the UK. As an EVAR partner, Posetiv will benefit from increased margin opportunities and will be entitled to provide professional services around the ADIC enterprise product set.

"ADIC is revolutionising backup with products like its Pathlight VX disk-based backup solution," said Conrad Martin, sales director for Posetiv, "and we are very excited about bringing it to our customer base. Pathlight VX combines the speed and reliability of disk-based backup with the portability and disaster recovery benefits traditionally associated with tape. It's a disk-based product, but it's integrated path to tape means that it can export data for disaster recovery without having any impact on the company's network and without forcing users to change their processes.
There are a range of really compelling selling points and having an ADIC eVAR accreditation is an endorsement that Posetiv has the skills and technical expertise to deliver and support these leading-edge products."

"Although we're on a path to double the number of eVARs that we are working with, we do not want to compromise on the quality of our partners," said Christo Conidaris, regional director for ADIC UK. "Posetiv has been recruited on the solid reputation they have in the storage space and their ability to demonstrate the high levels of technical expertise and customer trust required to meet ADIC's criteria for EVAR status. They have a great team of highly skilled technical experts that can design, implement and support storage solutions that deliver real benefits and actual cost savings to clients in both the public and private sectors. I know that they are going to be a great partner and are going to introduce a wealth of prospects
to ADIC's product set."
