AWARD-WINNING WEST DEAN GARDENS HOST TENTH ANNUAL GARDEN EVENT
18 and 19 JUNE 2005
This year’s inspirational Garden Event held at West Dean’s award-winning Gardens will include everything for the green fingered gardening enthusiast.
Gardeners of all abilities should not miss this unique event, with over 70 exhibitors providing a variety of specialist plants, perennials, shrubs, roses, climbers, grasses, herbs, pond plants, and vegetable and plant seedlings. Plus, a selection of garden tools, furniture, ornaments, garden sculptures and food products will be on sale.
Exciting activities over the weekend include top expert advice from the numerous specialist nurseries exhibiting at the event and guided tours of the gardens with West Dean’s Head Gardeners, Jim Buckland and Sarah Wain.
Each day there will be short guided tours around the Gardens, giving visitors the chance to learn more about West Dean Gardens and meet the Gardens team.
Last but not least for all those interested in what goes on behind the doors at West Dean College, demonstrations have been organised over the 2 days in the main Marquee. The College’s Tutors and Students will be available to answer questions on their specialist subjects, which will include, Willow Sculpture, Flower Painting, Drawing, Pottery and Tapestry Weaving.
A detailed programme of tours and demonstrations will be available at the entrance to the Gardens on both days.

•West Dean Gardens are situated on the A286, six miles north of Chichester and 12 miles from the south coast, it has convenient road and rail access from London, Gatwick and Heathrow airports. Opening times for the Garden Event are 10.30 am to 5.00 pm. Adult admission is £6.00, plus concessions.
