*** Scheduled collections deal with new July l6th laws ***
*** Service guarantee gives free collections ***
A service to help garages, workshops and automotive centres deal with the disposal of hazardous waste in line with the new July waste regulations has been introduced by the OSS Group.
The HazTech package provides a guaranteed scheduled collection for all hazardous wastes including oil, filters, batteries, solvents, brake fluid and aerosols. Under the service guarantee late collections will mean customers get the next collection free.
Costs are based on a set pick-up price after which customers are only charged for the actual number of waste containers emptied at the time of collection. Containers that comply with regulations for each waste type are supplied on a weekly rental basis and the frequency of the collections depends on individual customer needs.
“HazTech is the result of research which identified that customers don’t want to have to call us every time they need waste collected.” says OSS Operations Director Chris Williamson. “Our customers decide what waste needs to be collected and how often their containers need emptying. After that we simply turn up as scheduled. No further contact is needed. However, if we fail to collect on schedule we don’t charge for the next collection.
“This is an upgrade of our previous service. It covers the requirements of the much tougher Hazardous Waste Regulations which come into force in July.”
OSS is offering to transfer all its existing customers to the new scheme and is now offering the package on the general market. Details can be obtained by calling OSS customer services on 0870 2401 055.
