-- High audio quality content is essential driver for customer satisfaction --

Nuernberg, Germany, June 23, 2005 — Coding Technologies, the leading provider of audio compression technologies for mobile music, digital broadcasting and the Internet, today announced that Orange UK has included the company’s aacPlus audio codec into Orange’s full track mobile music download service dubbed “Music Player”.

Coding Technologies’ aacPlus has proven in several independent tests to provide the highest audio quality at the lowest possible bit rates, and has been selected by 3GPP as the standard codec for high quality audio delivery. aacPlus has recently been integrated into Orange’s latest mobile music player software platform, on which the operator’s Music Player service offering is built.

Mobile music services are widely regarded as a main driver for data revenues of 3rd Generation (3G) mobile networks, increasing the average revenue per user (ARPU) and producing a significant return of investment for operators. aacPlus caters for this application further by minimising network traffic and simultaneously maximising customer satisfaction through the highest possible audio quality.

“The commitment of Orange is a major step for aacPlus and a clear sign that our technology answers to the demands of the market,” said Oliver Kunz, Vice President Strategic Marketing Coding Technologies. “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with such an important player to create new businesses and markets.”
