Weybridge, Surrey, 30 June 2005 – Sirocom, the UK’s fastest growing Virtual Network Operator, today announced a three-year contract worth over £400,000 with health and fitness operator, Cannons Group Ltd.
The contract will see Sirocom replace the incumbent BT network with a centrally managed ADSL based VPN connecting Cannons’ 63 sites, with an MPLS core for increased quality of service. The new service is expected to save Cannons an estimated £250,000 over the next three years.
“Our business development strategy positions network service, flexibility and scalability as core to our operations, in order to allow for the smooth integration of new business and the ability to maintain our position in a highly competitive consumer market.” Says Dominic Corrigan, Director of IT, Cannons.
“The Sirocom VNO model, which offers a tailored, centrally managed service, allows us to hand over the day-to-day network maintenance, whilst we concentrate on strengthening our business and competitive edge. For example, MPLS capability will allow us to prioritise critical applications, such as those pertaining to customer service, and the 24/7/365 support and maintenance will ensure continued network performance.” Explains Corrigan.
Incorporated into the contract is Sirocom’s business continuity service, which will ensure that the branch site network will remain connected should Cannons IT headquarters experience any communications downtime.
Simon Rogan, CEO of Sirocom, adds “Demonstrating the ability to fine-tune our services to reflect business strategy and development on a ‘per customer requirement’ is essential in this market. For Cannons, the scalability of our network and our ability to manage the integration of new sites into the network was imperative.”
And, “As a VNO, one of the core elements is that we can continue to technically and commercially “refresh” the service throughout the life of the contract, and respond quickly to Cannons changing business needs.”
