Qpass’ Claudia Pöpperl Elected as Vice Chair of the Mobile Entertainment Forum

Evolution of mobile entertainment services industry aided by Qpass participation

London, UK. – July 6, 2005 – Qpass®, whose software powers the marketplace for digital media and services, today announced that Claudia Pöpperl, Director of Marketing, has been elected as Vice Chair of the Global Board of the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF). Eric Harber, Vice President, Corporate Development at Qpass is currently serving on the MEF Americas board and will continue in that role.

The Mobile Entertainment Forum is a global trade association representing more than 80 companies internationally to promote the development of the mobile entertainment industry. Mobile entertainment is comprised of mobile services such as video, music, ringtones, games and graphics. Recent achievements of the MEF include establishing both a UK and a German ringtone chart; collaborating on a ringtone chart in the US with Billboard magazine; development of an industry wide code of conduct; and initiatives involving copyright and digital right issues for mobile network operators and service providers.
