IBM has a number of Travelstar 10GT drives for review

Leading drive technology The Travelstar 10GT holds 14.1
gigabytes, or about four times as much information as the
average notebook and twice as much as the leading
competitor's hard drive contains today.

It is one of the three record-breaking hard disk drive
family for mobile PCs introduced by IBM

The Travelstar* 10GT is ideally suited for the large
capacity demands of integrated Internet/intranet, video, and
multimedia applications in a standard mobile computing
environment. IBM disk drive technology enables the
Travelstar 10GT to provide the exceptional capacity,
performance, power management, shock resistance, and
reliability required by today's mainstream notebooks.

About the Travelstar To provide this high level of
performance, the Travelstar 10GT employs proven IBM
technology. Giant magnetoresistive (GMR) advanced head
technology increases areal density, reducing the number of
disks and heads required to provide each capacity point. The
GMR head technology increases areal density to more than 5.6
Gbits/sq. inch, and its pico slider enables more disk
surface to be read.

The IBM Travelstar 10GT offers:- Capacity up to 10.0
gigabytes, Shock rating of 600 G/2 ms (nonoperating), 125
G/2 ms (operating) in a 12.5-mm form factor.

Other features include :- Drive Fitness Test (DFT), Enhanced
Adaptive Battery Life Extender 3.0 power management
technology, Giant magnetoresistive (GMR) advanced head
technology, Fast data rates, Rotational speed of 4200 RPM,
Large 512 KB data buffer.
