A NEW toffee-flavoured vodka drink made in the heart of Anglesey has tickled the fancy of Tony Blair.
Toffoc went down a treat with the Prime Minister on his last visit to the Welsh isle when he tasted the drink and commented: “That is fabulous I think you had better keep that away from me,” before joking it could be exported to the Russians.
The drink is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Dewi Roberts and Padrig Huws and is fast becoming one of Wales’ most popular tipples.
Dewi and Padrig conceived the idea on the snowy slopes of the Alps after enjoying a similar après-ski drink which was not available in the UK.

The duo spent years developing the perfect blend which is a closely guarded secret but has hints of vanilla, butterscotch and caramel.
Dewi, who is a part-time RAF fighter pilot at RAF Valley in Wales, said: “After many years mixing and blending we have discovered what we believe to be the perfect toffee flavoured vodka.

“It's strong, it's not too sweet, it's not too sickly and it has a crystal clear golden colour.
“It’s not a liqueur for your grandmother, but it is a very versatile drink which appears to be popular with a wide age range of drinker.”
The drink was literally born over the kitchen sink when Dewi and Padrig began experimenting with a variety of flavours after a skiing trip.
They then carried out market research by taking bottles to Ireland so that drinkers could sample them, before settling on the final most popular blend.
Now, they are producing up to 3,000 bottles a month and have sold 25,000 bottles of Toffoc in just over a year.
It is available in 300 pubs across England and Wales, including Wetherspoons, and in Spa supermarkets across North and Mid Wales.
The product is also pushing into the South Wales market as it has recently been snapped up by luxury department store Howells of Cardiff.
Toffoc is widely used in a range of cocktails such as Black and White Russians, as well as a number of desserts such as Tiramisu, cheesecakes, trifles and ice-creams.
The company is currently in talks over an export deal to Canada and are also targeting the après ski market in the French Alps.
