Datawatch, providers of report mining and BI solutions is reporting pay-off following the opening of its first office in the Middle East in 2005.
They recently added Saudi Group of Medicine and Pharmacology and Al-Fayed Commercial Est to the growing customer base in the region. The Group, owned wholly by Mr. Tareq Ismail Raslan liked the product so much that they now plan to launch a new division to market Datawatch products in the region, making them a prime reseller.
The Saudi Group of Medicine & Pharmacology and Al-Fayed Commercial Est is a multifaceted organisation, operating in the Middle East and the UK. Its several divisions combine agriculture, contracting, media, interior design, pharmaceutical, polyclinics, security systems and technology.
The recent sale and deployment of Datawatch’s benchmark software Monarch Pro Version 8 and Monarch Data Pump within the group provides a range of solutions and benefits. The skills of Monarch pro enhance the ability of departments throughout the enterprise to gain access to the data already contained within reports produced by existing systems.
Tareq Raslan explains why he implemented the Datawatch solution “I lead from the front and always wish to empower my team with the best tools available to smooth the business process and better facilitate our customers’ needs. Datawatch has helped us continue to make a difference for existing and prospective customers by giving us superior control over the information we need to run our business without capturing too much valuable IT time.”
Monarch can be used with existing systems, so staff do not have to be re-trained on how to use a new solution. A lot of organisations are very happy with their existing systems, but their users are limited in terms of what they can achieve without IT assistance. With Monarch, the problem is solved, empowering users with the ability to extract data from complicated formats such as PDF files, without specialist skills being required.
Tareq Raslan comments “Add to that the facility to combine information from diverse sources and it is not difficult to understand why our group would be attracted by such tools.”
Monarch Data Pump automates regular internal processes, saving time whilst ensuring that the resulting information and crucial data will always arrive on time. The delivery skills of Monarch Data Pump uses RSS to bypass the problems of syndicating information via e-mails and facilitates the ease of movement of data between divisions, without the additional concern of ever-stricter firewalls.
Mr Raslan believes in the benefits of mining the information contained within existing reports instead of further investment in more stand alone systems, which generate even more reports!
He concludes “I have been so impressed by the manner in which these tools have enhanced our business that I have decided to launch a new division to market Datawatch products in the region. My team know and demonstrate every day to me that they work. That is surely the best reason for such a business step.”
