HEALTHY AND TASTY SNACK BAR SNAPPED UP BY PARENTS
A healthy snack bar made from hemp seed and other natural ingredients is proving a huge hit with parents.
9 Bar, which is made by Wholebake (www.wholebake.co.uk), is seen by parents and their children as a tasty alternative to chocolate bars in their school lunchbox.
The growing success has led to 9 Bar being stocked in all Sainsbury’s and Waitrose stores.
The bars, which are handmade and come in three varieties – original, nutty and fruity – contain no hydrogenated fats and no artificial flavourings and colourings. They are also wheat and gluten free.
The tasty snacks contain hemp, a high quality source of protein, together with all nine essential amino acids, which help to build and repair the body.
They also contain sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds as well as poppy seeds – all a rich source of protein, fat, many minerals and some fibre.
9 Bar can help to lower cholesterol and to maintain a healthy heart as part of a healthy, balanced diet.
The 50g bars come individually, price 69p, or as three-packs, price £1.79.
In addition to the two supermarkets, 9 Bar is also stocked in Holland & Barrett and a large number of specialist health food shops.
