Raise a Glass to Romance with Da Luca

As the days get colder and the skies greyer we can all look forward to adding some warmth to our lives with the help of Valentine’s Day and Italy’s premium wine brand Da Luca.

Avoid crowded, expensive restaurants and plan an evening of amour right at home with the special one in your life. The Italians are famed for their passion and style so why not follow the experts and enjoy a night to remember.

The key elements to a truly romantic Valentine’s evening are atmosphere, food & drink and of course, plenty of passion!

Greet your loved one as they come home with a deep bubble bath, complete with candles and soft, relaxing music to help them unwind from the days stresses.

While they are pampering themselves its time to prepare the next item on the menu for love: dinner. If you are feeling adventurous you could cook them their favourite dish or, if in doubt there is nothing like Italian food to light the flames of desire.

Keeping it simple is the key to success here, for those who aren’t overly adventurous in the kitchen a pesto based dish is a guaranteed winner.
Cook two generous helpings of spaghetti until it is cooked ‘al dente’ (soft on the outside and slightly firmer on inside) then simply stir in a pesto sauce, garnish with a sprinkle of freshly grated parmesan and serve.

As this is Valentine’s the wine for the meal must be a red and nothing could be better than the delicious Da Luca Primitivo Merlot: With its smooth and velvety plum flavours the Primitivo Merlot is a little bit of luxury for less than £5.

The Primitivo Merlot is not only at home on the dinner table, it is also perfect for enjoying during the third stage of the evening – the flirty, post dinner conversation.

So turn the lights down low and ensure that you make Valentine’s a night to remember this year with Da Luca and their tips for romance
