A recent report by The NPD Group for January 2006 found that Webroot had the number one share of Distributor security sales in January, displacing Symantec from the top slot. According to the report, Webroot secured 27.7 percent market share while Symantec held the second place slot at 21.5 percent in January. Cisco, Computer Associates and McAfee next with 8.5 percent market share each – plus or minus a few tenths of a percentage point.
Webroot has also secured the top spot on the enterprise side according to a recent report by analyst firm The Radicati Group. In the report entitled “Corporate Anti-Spyware Market 2006-2010”, The Radicati Group ranked Webroot number one in terms of overall revenue and for the desktop anti-spyware installed base.
