UK network appliance vendor Igaware has launched an Internet security appliance designed to end the IT security worries of small-to-medium-sized enterprises.

Tim Sexton, sales director at Igaware, explained that, “SMEs are reactive when it comes to IT security. They only invest in security when something goes wrong. Every time they get hit by something nasty they invest in another product to plug the hole. The end result is the installation of multiple security products that they then can’t manage effectively.”

“What SMEs have been asking for is a single box that completely removes the worry of Internet security, once and for all. We have achieved this with the Security Box. It’s maintenance free and evolves to protect against new threats as they emerge.”

The Igaware Security Box is the first appliance to reach the market that provides protection against all types of attacks; hackers, viruses, spyware, phising, mail bombing, spam and inappropriate Internet usage.

Chris Moore, technical director, explained that, “The box is installed between an organisations Internet connection and their computer network. Once installed it automatically updates and upgrades itself without any user maintenance required. Customers simply pay an affordable monthly fee for updates and support. All the boxes are installed on a 30 day free trial. We haven’t had one back yet.”
