You are using an outdated browser. Please upgrade your browser., Frances’ biggest online coalition loyalty programme has today acquired ipoints ltd, the biggest online coalition loyalty programme in the UK, in a strategic move which creates Europe’s biggest online coalition loyalty company.

The acquisition is being made entirely in cash for an undisclosed sum and will be split into one amount payable in July 2006 and another payable in September 2007, based on ipoints’ performance for the financial period 1st July 2006 to 30th June 2007.

The deal is seen as bringing together two very successful and complimentary companies with similar business models who operate in two of Europe’s largest online markets. Both operate coalition loyalty schemes run in conjunction with major e-commerce loyalty partners, giving members the opportunity to multi-collect reward points across partner websites which they can redeem for a wide variety of rewards from an online catalogue. Both companies also are leading players in permission-based email and postal marketing, with large, highly-targeted consumer databases. In addition, both businesses also run online white label loyalty and motivation schemes for a number of leading businesses in Europe and the UK.

The acquisition comes at the end of an excellent financial year for ipoints, which saw the company win a number of major new loyalty partners including,,,, and ipoints ltd is forecasting an annual turnover of Euros 2.7 million, with a growth in sales of 34% and a net profit of around Euros 0.5 million (19.4% net profit margin) for the financial year ending 30th June 2006.

Maximiles, has similarly had excellent growth over the same period since its public flotation on Euronext, Paris's Alternext market last year. It numbers amongst its loyalty partners many key French organisations including railway company, which is the biggest e-commerce site in France. Turnover for Maximiles S.A. in 2005 was Euros 6.99 million, showing 31.4% growth on the previous year and a net profit of Euros 1.36 million (19.4% net profit margin).
