Extreme Drinks announces launch of Aqua Vitamins range as part of revolutionary rebranding

Extreme Drinks is pleased to announce the launch of its healthy and great-tasting range of light fruit flavoured Vitamin Mineral Waters that contain no artificial ingredients.

Feeling over-worked, over-stretched, or just after something different? Aqua Vitamins are a tasty combination of natural mineral water, a range of health-boosting vitamins, a delicious natural fruit twist and nothing else. As health conscious customers choose healthy soft drink alternatives, vitamin enriched water is a fast growing market, especially within the USA where it is already commanding a $100m share of the soft drinks market. It's gaining popularity in the UK as consumers become more savvy to the significant benefits of vitamin-enriched water.

We took the time to get these drinks just right and added nothing artificial. Aqua Vitamins are clear, gulpable and refreshing and come in three natural fruit flavours: Lemon Lime, Orange Passion, and Raspberry. These little babies provide 33% RDA of the B-complex range of vitamins, which help the body with a whole range of good stuff from breaking down carbs, fats and proteins, to maintaining healthy skin, hair, eyes, mouth and liver. So they’re the perfect boost to your body’s defences throughout the day, whatever you put it through.

Not content with stopping there, we took this opportunity to rebrand our entire range. Our goal is to deliver a completely radical, totally natural, fully functional range of soft dinks. Seven drinks make up the portfolio, from the award winning Aqua Still with its innovative "Hip Clip", to the delicious new Aqua Vitamins range, to our best selling natural Energy drink, EX Energy, with Kombucha and Guarana. Ex Chill, with its soothing blend of Camomile, Valerian and Lemon Balm; and Ex Enduro, a hypotonic performance sports drink including the ground breaking plant protein, Hyprol, complete the range.

We wanted a new look that was like nothing on the market and that screamed out loud. So we commissioned the talents of hot brand and design company, Dragon, to work their magic. The new design puts emphasis on Extreme’s brand heritage and its roots in Extreme Sports and is based on “discovery”. Each drink has its own unique illustration with extreme sports embedded in the design that fit the functional positioning of each drink.

Samantha Dumont, Creative Director of Dragon said: “we wanted to create packaging that played to its own rules and avoided category generics. The
illustrations add life and energy to a dull aisle and truly reflect the
nature of the Extreme Drinks Brand.”

Anthony Lewis, MD of Extreme Drinks said: “Our goal was to create a great tasting range of drinks with no artificial ingredients and to design packaging so out there you just have to pick them up and try them. We’re already getting a great reaction from some of the 21 countries where we’re sold. Style and function are our aims as we create new, healthy soft drinks for 21st century consumers.”

HISTORY: One afternoon in August 2001, Tim Day and Al Gosling, founder of Extreme and the Extreme Sports Channel, were in Tarifa, southern Spain. Tarifa is known for its epic wind conditions, perfect for kite surfing and windsurfing. However, that day there was virtually no wind, so with little else to do they were hanging out at the "Spin Out" bar on the beach shooting the breeze and nursing killer hangovers. While chilling in the Spanish sun and discussing life, Extreme and the recent success of another bullish drinks company, they concluded there was a gap in the drinks market and an opportunity to launch a new drinks company. Their goal was to
deliver a range of natural fully "funk"tional drinks, incorporating natural ingredients to satisfy people across any lifestyle occasion. They then spent twelve months learning about the drinks industry, developing the awesome range of drinks and launched the biz in early 2003. The biz continues to go from strength to strength.
