Pole-ish up your act as we launch INTERNATIONAL POLE DANCING DAY and go for the WORLD RECORD!
The world’s largest independent pole-dancing-fitness school, Polestars, in association with X-Pole, the worlds leading removable dance pole, are proud to announce “International Pole Dancing Day” on Thursday 7th September.
To celebrate, Polestars will be holding FREE classes throughout the UK. As well as this, we will be attempting to set a WORLD RECORD for the most number of synchronised pole dancers. It is guaranteed to be a day full of fun, fitness and acrobatic moves. This celebration will be coupled with events around the world in Australia, Ireland and Canada. To add to the excitement, Vertical Dance (another UK pole school), will be attempting to take the record from us a couple of days later.
The day will starts with Polestars going for the “Most People Pole Dancing Simultaneously” world record in London (venue tbc). This will consist of 50 poles, 50 girls and a pole dancing routine. This record is certified by the Guinness Book of Records, and we will be the first to set the record. This will be a great photo opportunity and fantastic laugh, if you want to get in on the action get in touch with Georgie (see below).

Polestars Course Director, Katja Karpinnen (32) says: “Pole dancing used to be linked to sleazy clubs, but now the girls are claiming it back for themselves. Pole dancing is a great workout and is a chance for women to train in an all female environment. Many of our students have become so addicted to the exercise that they are buying poles for their homes.”
In the evening we will party the night away with free pole dancing lessons and drinks at all our venues nationwide. What better excuse to put on your sexiest heels and hang out with like minded woman in a social supportive environment while learning some highly inspiring moves to impress even the most athletic of people.
Madonna, Kate Hudson and Daryl Hannah, are the latest converts to the number one celebrity work out. Daryl Hannah says “I worked hard to learn pole tricks and it got me in amazing shape”. And you can see why…. did you know Pole dancing burns 400 calories per hour? No wonder over 7000 poles have been sold to homes nationwide.
