Lloydspharmacy today announces the appointment of a Healthcare Advisory Panel to provide external perspectives on its longer-term strategy.

Chaired by Lloydspharmacy Managing Director Justin Ash, the other Panel members are Rt Hon Alan Milburn MP and panel Deputy Chair; Baroness Sally Morgan of Huyton ; Lord Tony Newton of Braintree; Professor Jenny Simpson OBE, and Andy Murdock Pharmacy Director Lloydspharmacy.

Commenting on the launch of the Panel, Justin Ash said: “Lloydspharmacy is a leading community healthcare provider with over 1500 pharmacies throughout the UK. Primary care will undergo significant changes in the coming years and Lloydspharmacy intends to build upon and extend its proven leadership in pharmacy and healthcare delivery. For this reason, we are delighted that we will now have the benefit of the advice of this body of external advisors who each bring a valuable perspective on health and healthcare.”

• Rt Hon Alan Milburn MP – Member of Parliament for Darlington (since 1992); former Secretary of State for Health (1999-2003); former Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (2004-2005).
• Baroness Sally Morgan – Former Political Secretary to Prime Minister Tony Blair (1997-2001); Former Director of Government Relations, Prime Minister’s Office (2001-2005); Advisor to the board of charity ARK (since 2005); member of the Carphone Warehouse plc Board (since 2005); member of the Olympic Advisory Authority Board (since 2006).
