…hybris showcases its e-commerce and PIM solutions at Internet Retailing show as the company announces expansion of its retail market customer base…

Munich – 01 October 2007: hybris (www.hybris.com), a leading product information management (PIM) and e-commerce vendor, will showcase its e-commerce and PIM solutions at the Internet Retailing event in London, UK, on 2nd October 2007 (stand number 37). This comes on the back of a very successful year for hybris in the retail sector; its e-commerce and PIM solutions have seen a huge take-up in this sector.

Ariel Ludi, CEO of hybris, said: “The retail sector is one of the innovators in online commerce and trade. For many retailers, providing the right online environment to support sales is now a matter of profit and loss, not just about brand perception and thought leadership. Our solutions are leading the market in helping many of the world’s leading retailers gain the crucial foothold in the online market they need to tap into the increasing revenue and market share this can provide.”

Amongst some of the recent online retail customers announced hybris are Virgin Retail, Digital Stores, Healthy Direct, XXX Lutz and Dangaard Telecom, Europe’s largest mobile phone distributor. The company has also announced it is opening a new office in Amsterdam to cover Benelux on the back of successful sales in these markets, a sizable proportion of which is in the retail sector. hybris was recognised by Gartner in its recently published Magic Quadrant on the PIM market as being one of the leading independent market players for these types of solutions.

Andrew Piscina, UK Country Manager of hybris, said: “Many retailers have realised that customers are demanding a sophisticated and versatile environment to support their online businesses, whether in choosing when to have products delivered, comparing prices or ordering from complex inventory lists. Our technology helps to cater for these requirements, placing the retailer at the heart of their customers’ purchasing requirements.”
