Northgate Information Solutions, a leading supplier of innovative services to the public sector and utilities markets, today launched a new electoral management service designed to support local government in modernising elections and promoting democracy.

At the first of five roadshows taking place across the country this week, the Northgate Elector and Elections Management Solution was demonstrated in Bristol today to local authorities from across the region.

The new service is user-friendly and will help to speed up and simplify often complex processes. It will enable Electoral Registration Officers to:

- locate elector information more easily, whether searching for individuals, properties or a full history of the voters residing at any address;

- effectively manage staffing requirements, through the ability to view ‘live’ staff information, to quickly allocate officers to polling districts, and to enter and immediately review new information;

- efficiently prepare for and manage boundary changes through creating scenarios at the click of the mouse and the ability to move entire polling districts using an inbuilt ‘wizard’;

- easily generate and amend documents and statistical reports.

Further roadshows will take place this week in London, Birmingham, Cambridge and Leeds.
