LONDON, March 11th March 2008 - Interxion, Europe’s leading provider of carrier-neutral internet data centre and managed services, has appointed Greg McCulloch as its UK Managing Director. He brings with him 17 years of management experience in sales, business development and data centre design and delivery, gained with organisations such as Sentrum, Telehouse and Global Switch.
Greg will be responsible for driving the continued growth of the UK business and extending the capacity of its London data centre to meet growing customer demand. In the last two years alone, significant investment has gone into the approximately 5,000 m² centre in London’s East End. Most recently, this included the installation of an additional 13 megawatts of power to fuel the growing market demand for ultra high density solutions.
“Greg’s appointment strengthens what we believe is already the most experienced data centre management team in Europe,” said Anthony Foy, Group Managing Director. “The UK is an extremely important market for us and frequently leads the way in terms of new demand and new services. Greg has all the abilities and expertise we need to drive the build out of our enterprise class colocation facilities to meet customer needs now and in the future.”
“I have always had tremendous respect for the Interxion team, the quality of its infrastructure and its standards of customer service, so I am extremely excited to be part of the business,” said Greg. “The challenges we face are ones which I relish - expanding to keep pace with customer demand; innovating to keep ahead of the rest of the industry; and maintaining our impeccable standards of availability and customer responsiveness.”
