During Easter it is estimated that around 23 per cent of Britons’ will plan to pack up their car and their children for a trip across the UK . It’s also expected that Britons will tuck into over 80million Easter eggs , with children making their way through five or six on average. With statistics like these it’s not surprising that tummy upsets caused by travel sickness and overindulgence are a common problem for mums at Easter time!

Why do children get sick?

Children get tummy upsets for a variety of reasons, from acid indigestion caused by stress and overeating to nausea caused by motion sickness. As many mums know, tummy aches are especially common during the school holidays when children race around, get excited and often eat too many rich or sugary foods like chocolate and sweeties.

What’s the best course of action when a child is sick?

A new survey from Milk of Magnesia has revealed that a third of parents have experienced their child vomiting whilst on holiday or travelling , the research also showed that when it comes to treating this type of tummy trouble some mums lack confidence. The majority of parents questioned said they preferred not to treat upset tummies with many mums saying they were confused about the treatment options available.

Upset tummies caused by overindulgence, acid indigestion or nausea and sickness can be safely and effectively treated.
