Findus brings you yet more freshness from your freezer with the launch of its first product specifically for kids – Findus Crispy Bites.
Take a Bite
With no artificial colours or preservatives, Findus Crispy Bites offer parents a simple but tasty option that are sure to satisfy even the fussiest of little eaters.
Available in two kid-friendly flavours – Sausage & Bean and Pepperoni & Mozzarella – these new Findus Crispy Bites offer a great way to whip up a tasty meal in less than fifteen minutes.
Oven-cook (meaning no extra oil is needed), less than 7% fat* and ready in under 15 minutes, they are an ideal warming snack for little, and not so little, ones alike - or, for a simple main meal solution, serve with a healthy salad or vegetables.
However you choose to serve them, these straight-from-the-freezer bites offer fun and flavour at meal times, in one neat crunchy package.
Serve Up Flavour
And if you need inspiration why not tempt your kids to Pepperoni & Mozzarella Findus Crispy Bites dished up with a colourful salad, which the kids can help prepare.
Simply lay out on a tray a selection of cucumber & carrot batons, bagged salad, canned sweetcorn (drained first!) and a selection of crunchy toppings like toasted pine nuts, mixed seeds or oven-baked croutons and get the kids to add whatever mix of these they’d like to see on the plate.
Or, if you are serving them as a snack, why not whip up a quick tomato salsa to go with them?
Mix together some roughly chopped plum tomatoes, lazy garlic and a healthy pinch of finely chopped fresh oregano and dress with some sun-dried tomato paste mixed with a small amount of three parts olive oil – one part red wine vinegar dressing.
Stir gently - season to taste – then serve up your Crispy Bites on a brightly coloured plate with a funky bowl of the salsa in the middle for everyone to dig in to.
Mix it Up
Or to go with the Sausage & Beans Findus Crispy Bites why not go for some steamed greens alongside a mixed veg mash?
All you need to do is cut equal size pieces of butternut squash, carrot, sweet potato and a small normal potato – add a little bit of low-fat natural yoghurt, a squeeze of lemon and a tiny bit of butter and you’ve got a dish that seems indulgent, whilst sneaking in a few extra vegetables to the dinner!
Or if you wanted to be really naughty, what about soft-boiling a duck egg and dipping in Sausage & Beans Findus Crispy Bites as soldiers?
Launched in Asda stores in mid-March, Findus Crispy Bites will be priced at £2.00 for a bag of 12.

The Story of Findus Ltd.
Findus has its origins in the Nordic region. In 1941, Marabou, a Swedish confectionery company acquired a small factory in the Northwest of Scania (Sweden) - with a brand called Findus.
In 1962, Marabou sold the Findus business to Nestlé, and it remained under Nestlé ownership until January 2000, when it was sold to EQT Scandinavia BV.
With a turnover of approximately EUR 800 million Findus has a presence in Norway, Sweden, Finland, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Thailand and Australia, employing around 3,000 people.
In April 2005 ownership of Findus Ltd. (www.findus.co.uk) was transferred from EQT, to the private ownership of Geir Frantzen, previously a senior manager at Swedish parent company Findus AB.
Commenting on his takeover Frantzen says: “It was an enormous step to take but the UK food market is one of the most dynamic and exciting in the world right now and to not have taken the opportunity to buy into it would have been foolish indeed.
“We understand the challenge facing busy consumers in today’s increasingly hectic world; they want good quality food with the minimum of fuss, that's why we're dedicated to making their choices easier by creating food solutions that are delicious and convenient."s
