London, 3rd April 2008, Capricode, a leading provider of mobile device management solutions specially aimed at businesses, is embarking upon a reseller recruitment campaign across Europe starting with the UK. The company is looking to engage with ASPs and MSPs that sell and deploy mobile and wireless security solutions. With SyncShield included in their product portfolio, ASPs and MSPs can offer their customers a comprehensive range of mobile management and security solutions.

According to research firm In-Stat, smartphones are predicted to grow at more than a 30 percent compound annual growth rate for the next five years globally. No longer just simple communication devices, smartphones have become an important element in business users’ lifestyles. This trend is expected to continue as businesses invest in feature-rich phones so that they can make the most of new services such as email, Internet access and mobile business applications such as mobile CRM.

Capricode’s SyncShield product enables IT managers and administrators to manage the entire lifecycle of a mobile device including initial set up, applications management, PIM (personal information management such as contacts, calendar and SMS) back-up and security issues, such as locking the device if it is lost or stolen. It is an Open Mobile Alliance standards compliant product designed especially for business use. As well as being network independent, it supports all the major mobile brands based on the Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems.

SyncShield makes it possible for ASPs and MSPs to configure and manage popular 3rd party mobile applications, such as mail for exchange and mobile anti-virus. In addition, all customers, whatever their size, can be managed from one single SyncShield server - simply by creating individual user accounts within minutes. This makes mobile device management a very cost-efficient and easy-to-use solution.

“SyncShield is one of the few mobile device management products that was developed specifically for businesses. Its flexibility and ease of use makes it the perfect solution to sell to IT managers who are looking to manage their growing army of smartphones. It puts them back in control and helps them to avoid the mistakes they made in the early 90s with laptops,” says Erkko Vainio, Capricode's business development director for EMEA.

Capricode has successfully rolled out this business model in Finland and its partners include Secode, Sonera Piste (a subsidiary of TeliaSonera) and Teamware. It has already gained a number of customers, including Securitas Direct and Europcar.
