Derby, UK, 28th May, 2008 – Nexsan, a leading provider of energy efficient, long term disk storage, today announced, in conjunction with the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2008, that Nexsan has become a Premier member of the Apple Developer Connection (ADC).

Nexsan SATABeast Xi was announced earlier this year at MacWorld in San Francisco. The SATABeast Xi is the first high density, green storage solution built and optimised for the Apple Xserve and Mac Pro markets.

“Nexsan was the first to market with a high density storage solution for this important and underserved market,” said Bob Woolery, senior vice president of marketing, Nexsan. “Our SATABeast Xi offers Xserve users a cost-effective, energy efficient storage solution that is optimised for both Xserve only and mixed-OS environments.”

As part of the ADC Premier program, Nexsan receives advanced copies of Apple software and operating systems and Nexsan products will be tested in the Apple Compatibility Labs.

“Customers in the Xserve market produce the highest-quality, rich media content including HD television programming and feature length movies, and they push us hard for new tools that enable them to be even more creative,” said Gary Watson, Chief Technology Officer, Nexsan. “We’re dedicated to meeting the requirements of these demanding customers. SATABeast Xi delivers high density storage and energy savings all in one package for both Fibre Channel and iSCSI. When you put those features together with Nexsan’s price performance, you’ve got an ideal rich media storage solution.”
