Munich – 5 June 2008. hybris (www.hybris.com) accelerates: After the recent expansion of Sales in Europe through the opening of new offices in Amsterdam and Stockholm, the leading provider of software for multichannel communication and e-commerce is now expanding its marketing activities. Promoted to his new role of Vice President Marketing EMEA, Robert Clara will be immediately taking on responsibility for marketing strategies and corporate communication as well as all online and offline marketing activities at hybris. Along with his team, the 41year old will continue to develop brand awareness and market penetration of the product communication specialist throughout the main sales regions.
Before joining hybris as Marketing Manager in 2001, Robert Clara was responsible for the development and expansion of the e-commerce division at Infinigate Deutschland GmbH as Division Manager E-Commerce. There he was responsible for manufacturers such as Real Networks and Ipswitch and developed innovative e-commerce solutions for the partner channel.
Clara can look back on extensive experience in marketing and IT. After completing his university studies, Clara began his career as Junior Product and Marketing Manager for data security and anti-virus software with the software distributor EPG Unternehmensberatung GmbH, where he later also assumed his position as Product und Marketing Manager for the web server analysis software WebTrends. Clara was able to obtain substantial experience in corporate communication and press relations as Account Manager at the PR agency Herald Communications, as well as in his position as Editor at InformationWeek.
