Lytham, June 23, 2008: Talking Tots, the UK’s leading provider of communication classes for toddlers, has announced the launch of its 20th UK site in less than a year.
Talking Tots (http://www.talkingtots.info) is a unique pre-school activity class that uses games, rhymes and fun activities to help develop pre-school children’s communication skills and social confidence.
The company was launched by Tracey Park and Lisa Houghton, two experienced paediatric speech and language therapists, in response to the decline in young children’s communication and social skills.
“As paediatric communication specialists, we saw on a daily basis that increasing numbers of children were starting school unable to make themselves understood,” says Lisa Houghton. “Teachers told us that reception pupils often struggled with basic skills such as listening to instructions or taking part in group activities.”
While there are many pre-school groups focused on dance, music or swimming, Talking Tots is the only class to focus on communication and social confidence – the most important skills our children ever learn. “Communication is the bedrock of everything children do, from learning to making friends,” says Tracey Park. “Our carefully-designed classes enable children to boost their communication and social confidence, while they’re also having lots of fun and making friends.”
With the launch of new classes in Hertfordshire and North Tyneside, Talking Tots now operates in 20 locations across the UK, with more classes launching every month.
Talking Tots is also recruiting new class leaders nationwide. The competitive franchise package includes full training, all class materials and ongoing support for administration and marketing. Franchise owners don’t need formal qualifications, but should be energetic, self-motivated and have a passion for children's communication and development.
