The Saint-Emilion wine bureau is hosting a press trip this year between 18th and 21st September to commemorate ‘La Jurade de St-Emilion.’

With only two spaces remaining on the trip, we invite national consumer journalists (newspapers and glossy magazines) to get in touch for a full itinerary and further information. Please contact Natasha Claxton at R&R Teamwork on 020 7384 1333 or email

The trip sets out to reveal the diversity of the wine region of Saint Emilion, Pomerol and Fronsac during harvest time. This is UNESCO World Heritage territory with the picturesque town of Saint Emilion at its epicentre surrounded by wonderful hilly vineyards (

La Jurade (originating from the 12th Century) was resurrected in 1948 as a body to oversee the vineyards and control the quality of the wines produced.

The planned itinerary includes wine and so much more:

*Overnight stays in different Châteaux
*Guided tour of St-Emilion town including the underground monuments and fertility seat
*Vineyard visits in the region
*Cycling or horse riding in the vineyards
*Fireworks to celebrate ‘La Jurade de St-Emilion’
*The official launch of the harvest
*An induction to the brotherhood of St-Emilion

If you cannot make the full four days of this trip then we can tailor a few days to suit you – the same goes if you would like to arrive in Bordeaux early or stay on later at your own expense.

BA flies from Gatwick and easyJet flies from Luton. Many other UK airports fly direct to Bordeaux, too.
