Merklyn Hauck of organisers, Gable Events, said “This year’s Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival was the most successful ever with a record number of participants and spectators. Even racing ten dragon boats rather than the usual eight we had to turn a number of companies away because of the event’s popularity. electricity4business played a major part in the event’s success in their second year as title sponsor and we are very grateful to them. We also appreciate the additional support given by Horizon Radio for their great event coverage, the Dragon Boat restaurant for the top fundraisers’ meal, Ruths Floral Design Studio for the winners bouquets and Inside Business for the souvenir programme”.

Lynette Havenga-Stokes, Marketing Manager at electricity4business, added “It was great to see so many local people enjoying themselves down at Willen Lake yesterday, watching the racing and taking part in the riverside activities in fantastic sunshine. The enthusiasm and camaraderie shown by all of the crews was superb as ever and our two teams had a great time even though we didn’t make the finals! It was a pleasure to be involved in the biggest corporate team event in Milton Keynes once again and we know that our nominated charity, Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice, will be delighted with the money that has been raised.”
