In contrast with the general slow-down in the economy, the demand for wireless connectivity has created a surge in the demand for experts in RF and Wireless technologies. The trend for wireless interconnect has permeated every aspect of our daily lives, from mobile telephones, WiFi on computers, gaming consol remotes, access and security systems, the list is growing exponentially. In addition wireless sensor networks are becoming increasingly common in commercial and industrial applications, whether deployed as wireless intruder detection, environmental monitoring or simply m2m (machine to machine) data-acquisition. New developments in RF technology have made it economically attractive to move from traditional hard wired systems to wireless, as low cost wireless enabled products can be deployed with battery lives in excess of 10 years.

In response to the growing demand for these services, Peter Strong has joined the TrimeriX team as Managing Director and will take charge of growing TrimeriX’s service portfolio and directly managing key customer accounts.

Announcing the appointment, Nigel Gaylard, founder and CTO of TrimeriX said, “over the past few years manufacturers of RF chipsets have significantly reduced the amount of RF expertise required to develop a wireless product, however it still requires access to specialist equipment and knowledge to ensure that the developed product meets specification, can be volume produced economically and remain reliable when deployed in the field.”

At the end of the design cycle RF Functional Test and verification requires the use of specialist equipment and expertise to ensure the design meets functional and regulatory requirements.”

Putting the core team onto this part of the cycle is an inappropriate deployment of key talent and because skill sets are not ideally matched is overly time consuming and often very unproductive for the business.
