The majority of European background screening professionals in London have agreed to form the European Group of the NAPBS (National Association of Professional Background Screeners) trade association.
In Europe, while pre-employment background screening has been rapidly adopted by HR professionals, the absence of a trade association in this maturing market has meant that standards and best practices are not developed across the industry.
The US trade association NAPBS (National Association of Professional Background Screeners - napbs.com) was founded in 2003 in Morrisville, North Carolina to give the pre-employment screening industry the ability to effectively demonstrate its competence, reliability and willingness to adopt standards and promote best practices within the industry.
