Chester, 9 July 2008 – Haulfryn Group, the Chester-based holiday park specialist, has completed an expansion drive by acquiring three new parks, supported by The Royal Bank of Scotland (“RBS”). The company has acquired Byslades Park in Paignton, Devon, Bossiney Farm Park in Tintagel Cornwall and Woodlands Hall near Ruthin, North Wales. The Haulfryn Group is now one of the UK’s largest owners of prestigious holiday and residential parks.

Mark Evans, Finance Director of the Haulfryn Group, said: “The latest acquisitions expand our operations in Devon and Cornwall as well as consolidating our position in the North Wales market. The new parks will enhance our existing portfolio and form part of our plans to grow the business both organically and by acquisition. We have also committed to major investment in our existing parks to further enhance the Haulfryn experience for all our customers. We are very excited about the future.”

Geoff Worrall, Relationship Director at RBS, commented: “We are delighted to be able to support the Haulfryn Group in its expansion plans. It is one of the best run businesses we have seen and we are very happy to continue with our support for further expansion and refurbishments.”

Haulfryn remains very much a family business which was established by the Minoprio family in Abersoch over 70 years ago. The company’s extensive portfolio consists of holiday parks located in beautiful parts of North Wales and across Southern England, including the Warren at Abersoch and Finlake in Devon. The residential parks are located in equally fine locations in the South West and South East of England.

Haulfryn has a reputation built on high quality products and services and is justifiably proud that it employs over 200 local people across its parks. The latest acquisitions are part of the company’s strategy to grow its market share and to continue the Haulfryn tradition of offering top quality products and services to existing and new customers in 2008 and beyond.
