At Christmas time it’s traditional to eat, drink and be merry with family and friends, but catering for all those extra mouths can be a taxing task with festive dishes calling for lots of exotic ingredients. But help is at hand with Loseley’s ranges of chilled products; just remember to stock up on its luxurious Yoghourts, Cottage Cheeses and its new summer Meadow Naturally Spreadable Butter, and you can create a fabulous feast for the festive season.

When neighbours pop round for a glass of good cheer it’s easy to offer the usual snacks such as peanuts and crisps. However, if you keep a few tubs of Loseley Cottage Cheese in the fridge you can conjure up delicious dips and nibbles in next to no time.

To make a luxurious guacamole put a pinch of ground chilli, a clove of garlic, the flesh of a tomato and a ripe avocado, and a tub of Loseley Natural Cottage Cheese into a blender and give all the ingredients a good whiz. Just add salt and pepper to taste and serve with bread sticks or crudities.
Flake a tin of tuna into a tub of Loseley Natural Cottage Cheese, stir in a good spoonful of Dijon mustard or mayonnaise and spread onto crackers or crispbread for a tangy bite.
Toast split bagels and top with Loseley English Farmhouse Cheddar & Onion Cottage Cheese
Or go for a Mediterranean feel with Loseley Olive, Basil and Sundried Tomato Cottage Cheese piled high on ciabatta.
For a more formal meal make a fabulous starter by halving perfectly ripe William pears, removing the cores, and filling up with fruity Loseley William Pear Cottage Cheese.

There’s nothing better than the taste of fresh, creamy dairy butter, especially when it comes in the convenient form of being spreadable straight from the fridge. Loseley Summer Meadow Naturally Spreadable Butter can be used in so many Christmas recipes. Smear it on your turkey before roasting to ensure lovely crispy golden skin, while a dab of butter inside the turkey cavity during cooking makes the flesh extra moist. To give your gravy an added silkiness, just stir or whisk in a spoonful of Loseley Butter before serving. Loseley Butter is so soft it is easy to make a flavoursome herb, or garlic and herb, butter to accompany your bird and vegetables. Just roughly chop a handful of coriander, basil, thyme, or other fresh herbs, and mix into the butter with a fork. Dot the butter over humble boiled carrots and brussels sprouts to give them an extra lift.

Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without the traditional Christmas pud. However, if you find the usual accompaniments of brandy butter and cream a bit rich, then why not try a lighter, fruity alternative? Loseley’s Rich and Creamy Yoghourt range is full of natural ingredients including Channel Island Milk, Jersey Cream and real fruit. They contain no added artificial flavours, so what you get is the unadulterated sweetness and taste of the fruit. Indulge yourself with Loseley’s four flavour sensations of Raspberries and Jersey Cream, Strawberries and Jersey Cream, Caramelised Pear and Creamy Fudge, and Blackberry and Bramley Apple. All four flavours work extremely well as an accompaniment to an exotic fruit salad.

If you are looking for something slightly more sophisticated, then what about Loseley’s Luxury Layered Yoghourts? There’s luscious Madagascan Vanilla & Champagne Rhubarb, or what about refreshing Tangy Lemon & Lemon Curd? After all that turkey with trimmings it’s nice to enjoy a dessert with such a clean, fresh taste.

Christmas fare doesn’t need to be a chore – with the help of Loseley you can easily whip up a fantastic festive feast!
