Brand Licensing Europe 2008
The Grand Hall, Olympia, London. Stand No. 280
Lunartics, the collection of crazy characters that live inside the moon (www.lunartics.com ), will be showing a preview of their new trading card game aimed at 7-12 year olds (mostly). Also on show will be a newly developed map of the inside of the moon, showing the seven zones where the Lunartics live. Each moon zone is further explained in a new series of seven books that include stories and anecdotes about the Lunartics.
The Lunartics characters are now available for license with their original background artwork, or as cut outs enabling licensees to put the Lunartic of their choice in their own setting.
Simon Harris, co-founder and Director of Lunartics commented, “During the past year we have put a lot of time and resource into fleshing out the Lunartics story. We have done this by further developing their environment
with the seven new zones, and the story books. In addition, we are now set to launch the trading cards game, which we believe together with our interactive website, will fuel demand for Lunartics merchandise.”
Simon continued, “These extensions to the Lunartics range and the new display options for the Lunartics characters presents a more exciting and compelling proposition to our Licensees.”
Lunartics has picked up several new licensees during the last year. Licensees now include Magic Moon Brew teas – fruit teas aimed at children and teenagers; Printshop – online customisable t-shirts and other merchandise; Remind4U – completely customisable cards for every occasion; Picturedoors – Lunartics printed onto doors; Art and Design Russia – a range of merchandise featuring Lunartics; Compulsion Gallery – collectable sculptures; and Creatively Different – roller blinds.
You can meet the Lunartics at Brand Licensing Europe 2008, Grand Hall, Olympia, London, Stand No. 280
NOTES TO EDITORS:
The Lunartics have been lovingly created by top science fiction and fantasy artist Danny Flynn. 147 Lunartics have been discovered so far, living on the inside of the moon, more are expected to turn up at any time. They live in seven different zones. Some are nice, some are horrid! They come in all shapes and sizes, all have birthdays, friends, pets, enemies, some smell, some can spit a long way, some are very clever, and some are really silly.
All the Lunartics are available for licensing, and can be displayed either with or without their original background. There is a wide range of supporting material including maps, story books, and a trading card game currently in beta testing. Other supporting materials are available on request.
Lunartics was founded in 2000 by Danny Flynn and Simon Harris, is self-funding and based in Oxfordshire.
