Auros’ team of web designers, developers, content migration specialists and testers carried out the project for Scott Wilson which entailed a multitude of disciplines, including;
• 2500 pages of multiple source content migration
• Enhancement of existing design and conversion into web templates
• Development of custom taxonomy and Project/Service Finder plug-ins in order to show related content, for example, enabling users to find related projects and services, specific to a particular page
With a short project time line, Auros team also managed to deliver 2 microsites, the first for the Eastern European market involved content being migrated and delivered to clients in both the English and Polish languages with there being capability for Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Russian. The second microsite for China involved the delivery of content in both English and Chinese.
As all the sites went to Final User Acceptance Testing, Auros had already been contracted to deliver additional website enhancements for Scott Wilson. The extra work includes sites for South East Asia with the implementation of Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian languages.
Asia is next on the agenda with the taxonomy driven Project Finder tool being implemented to allow website visitors to search the project database of Scott Wilson and locate case material that is relevant to a project they are seeking to undertake. As well as this a “Predictive Search” feature has been built to help users find what they are looking for more easily.
An example of the Project Finder could be; a potential client is endeavouring to start a transport project in the aviation sector and is interested to learn more about Scott Wilsons’ credentials in this market. This client now has the facility to investigate various projects and pin down some that are relevant to their specific interests.
The case study knowledgebase is structured around a meta data (taxonomy). This enables content related to the project to be categorised at a highly fragmented level therefore enabling more accurate searching and cross-referencing as well as providing a fully multilingual interface. The search results displayed to the user convey a best-fit outcome in terms of relevant Scott Wilson projects and services.
Auros is proud to have established a strong partnership with Scott Wilson and in particular that Scott Wilson has seen a substantial increase in visitors to their scottwilson.com web presence.
