Digital direct marketing agency, Cheeze (www.cheeze.com) - a member of Digital Marketing Group plc, the AIM-listed digital direct marketing company, is ramping up its business development team with the appointment of Tom Griffiths as Business Development Manager.

The agency is also adding more young talent with Tom Preston and Max Gilbert joining as Media Trainees.

Griffiths brings to the role over four years business development experience across multiple marketing disciplines, with a deep understanding of search marketing. His high profile client wins include Tesco Personal Finance, Equity Insurance, SAGA, B&Q and Sony Europe.

Reporting in to Managing Director, Matt O’ Brien and working alongside Business Development Director James Lunn and supporting Director of Innovation, Jamie Riddell; his brief is to help take Cheeze’s unique proposition to a wider client base, whilst managing the business development process.

Griffiths joins from Latitude where he was a Business Development Consultant. Before which he was at user experience consultancy, Foolproof Ltd. where as Business Development Manager he identified and responded to new business opportunities across the finance, retail and travel sectors, as well as helping to grow existing client relationships and overseeing the company’s marketing and PR.

Prior to that he was Business Development Manager at the UK’s leading search conversion agency, Tamar.com Ltd. which saw him responsible for developing new business across the agencies SEO, design & build and usability offer. In this role he also managed the sales and marketing team and developed incremental business from existing clients.

After graduating from De Montfort University with a BA Hons in German and Media, Griffiths began his business development career in 2005 as a Business Development Account Executive at new business consultancy, Rainmaker Consulting Ltd. Here he managed new business accounts for some of Europe’s top marketing services companies including PHD, Tequila London and Modem Media.

Griffiths said of joining Cheeze “I’ve been admiring Cheeze for some time. Previously Preston was a Sales and Marketing Analyst at Archant Norfolk where he analysed both on and offline campaigns as well as planning and producing digital marketing campaigns, including email campaigns, for the likes of Harley Davidson. He is currently studying for an IDM Certificate in Digital Marketing. Gilbert is starting his career with Cheeze after recently graduating from De Montford University with a BA Hons in Advertising and Marketing Communications.

Other recent hires at Cheeze include Advertising Group Head, Tim Cook
and Account Manager Sophie Taylor who joined Cheeze London and Campaign Manager James Glick who joined the Ipswich office.
