- Addition of MyComplinet news and discussion community to keep Compliance Institute members informed and connected -

8 September 2008 – Complinet, the leading provider of dynamic and connected risk and compliance solutions to the global financial services industry, today announced a new community partnership with the Compliance Institute, under which it will provide the Institute’s 850 members with daily compliance news and a secure discussion area where they can meet and share ideas with other members of the community.

The Compliance Institute is a leading non-profit making organisation representing and promoting the interests and development of compliance professionals in the UK. The Institute’s mission is to advance the standards of competence amongst compliance staff, offering them the benefits of professional status and opportunities for professional development.

Compliance Institute members will be able to directly access Complinet’s MyComplinet community online service through the Compliance Institute website. Compliance Institute members will see daily news headlines appearing on the Institute’s website (http://www.complianceinstitute.co.uk), enabling members to keep up with daily news on the Institute’s website and keep abreast of regulatory developments. In addition, a secure discussion area will be built for the sole access of Institute members.

As well as the dedicated discussion area and the news headlines, Compliance Institute members will also receive access to all of the other features on MyComplinet including:

• Recruitment board
• Podcasts, webcasts and Coffee Casts
• Gatherings – information on upcoming events, conferences and workshops
• Informer – Complinet’s quarterly client magazine

• Trials

John Bourbon, Chairman, of the Compliance Institute said, “We have a strong community and loyal membership, yet we wanted to join the global compliance community available through Complinet. We can now offer additional networking, discussion groups and news elements to our community that benefits each and every one of our 850 members. Complinet is a leader in this field with an existing compliance community of 19,000 members worldwide. It was a natural choice.”

Complinet launched MyComplinet in October 2007, the first dedicated online global community for compliance professionals that has already attracted nearly 19,000 members worldwide. MyComplinet connects the global compliance community and enables peer group information exchange as an area where individuals can log in daily, for all their compliance needs.

With 100,000 global subscribers across 81 countries from over 1,800 firms, Complinet’s solutions minimise exposure to risk by providing the information and technology to track and connect live external events, such as regulatory or sanction changes, with internal policy management and screening activities.

Chris Pilling, CEO of Complinet said, “Building a connected community of global compliance professionals continues to be an integral part of Complinet’s mission. With great pleasure we welcome these highly qualified compliance professionals from the Compliance Institute as they bring a high level of knowledge and experience to our community.”
