September promotion for customers who feel the crunch:

Tandberg Data provides peace of mind with on-site service on all tape automation products:

Oslo Norway, (8 September, 2008): Tandberg Data, the global supplier of data protection solutions, today introduced a range of promotions for the EMEA region for customers who grapple with ever increasing volumes of data, and demands for higher levels of data protection, while dealing with tight budgets.

During September 2008, Tandberg Data offers promotions on all tape automation solutions and on selected LTO tape drives across EMEA. The promotions vary from discounted pricing (up to 20%) to free-of-charge service uplifts.

Complementary SecureService

Tandberg Data offers extended on-site service upgrades for customers who require higher levels of service to maintain data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of a failure. Customers who purchase a Tandberg Data StorageLoader or StorageLibrary in September 2008, will receive a complementary one year 5x8xNext Business Day (NBD) on-site service upgrade, free of charge, upon (online) registration of the product.

In addition to the SecureService upgrade, Tandberg Data will offer free of charge installation for the StorageLibrary T40+, a scalable, stackable library.

Up to 20% of LTO Half Height tape drives:

For customers who need a new backup and archiving solution, but who do not require an automated tape solution, Tandberg Data offers up to 20% discount on selected LTO tape drives purchased in September 2008. In addition, discretionary discounts will be given on LTO-media. Tandberg Data’s LTO drives offer capacities from 400GB to 1.6TB (compressed). With Tandberg Data’s discounted pricing, customers now enjoy an even lower cost per gigabyte, further establishing tape as the most cost effective backup and archiving medium.
