ByBox has further increased its share of the UK’s in-night parts and equipment delivery sector with the addition of eight of new customers.

Biorad, Bits, Positive Solutions, Hoppecke, DMN, and Apogee recently joined the growing list of major companies now benefiting from ByBox’s flexible supply chain service, which provides pre-8am delivery, six days a week into its unique 18,000-strong box-bank network situated at over 1,200 locations around the UK.

The total value of the new contracts is more than half a million pounds.

For Biorad ByBox is providing a pre-8am distribution service to its team of UK-based engineers who distribute and install medical equipment used in hospitals. Biorad plan to centralise their warehouse in France and take advantage of ByBox’s capabilities both in the UK and France.

Bits, specialising in the service of plasma televisions and home entertainment systems with plans to expand its field service team to 40 by the end of the year, sought a solution to speed up its supply chain efficiency. Through distributing to its national network of 18,000 dropboxes, ByBox enable the engineers to work more efficiently as parts are within an average of 3 miles by 8am.

Positive Solutions provide and maintain electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems to the pharmaceutical sector. ByBox will provide an electronic locker solution to deliver parts for their engineers, which will help Positive Solutions to attain 100% stock visibility.

Hoppecke is a German Industrial battery company. ByBox will distribute electrical components around the country to 230 electronic drop boxes for Hoppecke’s national team of engineers, and also provide site-based deliveries. The contract will offer ByBox with the potential to further develop its operations in Europe.

DMN install mobile phone masts for the major mobile phone networks. They faced the challenge of efficiently managing engineer time while minimising distribution costs. Through using the ByBox job-based delivery solution, engineer jobs can be scheduled much later in the day and DMN engineers still remain efficient as parts can be collected from within 3 miles of the job.

Apogee are a reprographics company. ByBox will provide lock boxes and distribute photocopier and printer parts to Apogee’s 31 engineers.

Mark Garritt, European Managing Director of ByBox, said: “We are delighted to welcome these new companies to our network.

“I am sure that as a result of joining forces with us they will see a large improvement in the speed, flexibility and accuracy of parts and materials deliveries to their mobile staff.

“We are reaping the rewards of last year’s expansion of the network, when we added a number of new supply chain services make our system even more attractive and adaptable to a wide range of industry sectors.

“The contract wins demonstrate how our unique box network and its supporting supply chain system is proving the most practical and cost effective solution for any company that needs to supply a remote or mobile workforce, whatever the nature of their business.”
