Yoggie products offload security, increase performance and protect computers wherever they connect

Yoggie Security Systems™ Gatekeeper products have been shortlisted in this year’s Computing awards. The new Gatekeeper Card Pro™, Gatekeeper Pico Pro™, Gatekeeper SOHO™ and Yoggie Management Server™ have been shortlisted from hundreds of entries this year in the tough competition.

The appliances are miniature full blown Linux computers holding 13 security components from best of breed vendors such as Kaspersky, SurfControl and Mailshell to Linux applications including Snort. The appliances, in USB and new ExpressCard format, offload a full security suite and can be controlled centrally via the Yoggie Management Server™.
The Gatekeeper Card Pro is the latest innovation from Yoggie and marks the first time that an entire computer has been designed for installation inside another computer – essentially a computer within a computer – for the purpose of providing the most advanced security protection on the market.

With new and improved 4X hardware architecture, the Gatekeeper Card Pro offers four times the performance of existing Yoggie devices. Included among the improvements are:

• CPU changed from Intel PXA to Freescale i.MX31
• RAM changed from SDRAM to DDR

Yoggie Security Systems™ will be competing against other major companies including EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, Texas Memory Systems and Secure Computing.

Shlomo Touboul, CEO of Yoggie Security Systems™, commented: "It’s been another outstanding year for Yoggie Security Systems with growth in sales, a strong distribution network of retailers and resellers and of course the addition of the Gatekeeper Card Pro. This nomination is a tribute to the team which has helped to develop the technologies that’s has secured us a place in the finals of this prestigious award".
