Award winning industry pioneer Richard Hannah departs Fujitsu to further develop EquaTerra’s European IT Outsourcing Practice

For immediate release:

Leading sourcing advisory firm, EquaTerra today announced that Richard Hannah has joined them to further develop their rapidly expanding, IT Outsourcing Practice within Europe and the Asia Pacific.

Richard, formerly Global Transformation Director at Fujitsu Services UK, has over thirty years experience and enjoys a reputation as one of the most effective and respected global delivery executives in the industry.

He has lived and worked in the USA, throughout Europe and the Far East working for some of the biggest corporations to successfully deliver some of the largest global IT transformation programmes, including acting as Global Capability Lead on Fujitsu’s largest non government account, Thomson Reuters in an IT outsourcing deal worth circa £700m.

“̏EquaTerra’s track record, acuity and deep knowledge of a sector, made this career move an easy one. I have always believed that post implementation is not the time to evaluate whether a particular sourcing deal has delivered; success must be woven into the fabric of every deal and achieved through strict governance, performance management and clear best practice delivery assurance. As a Practice Lead with EquaTerra, I consider I am now best placed to help clients achieve this” explained Richard.

Richard began his career in the legal arena, before moving to enjoy success as a Project Management Consultant and Software Vendor.
The subsequent two decades were then spent contracted to or working for the world’s largest IT Services companies including Accenture, Atos Origin, CapGemini and IBM. He has developed a reputation for recovering the toughest programmes; including the development of new methodology. Amongst the diverse range of clients, Richard looked after during this period were BP, Shell, Goldman Sachs and Direct Line, as well as UK Government departments such as DWP , HMRC and DEFRA.
