The LEADER Group Brighton & Hove is hosting its first interactive training workshop on Equality and Diversity – Understanding the Legal Requirements on Friday, October 17th, 2008 (10.00am – 2.00pm). The training will be delivered by Fiona Martin, an employment law solicitor from Martin Searle Solicitors, and Acas.

To be held in the Palm Court on Brighton Pier, the employment law training event is designed to help employers, HR professionals and managers understand and promote good equality and diversity practice. Topics to be covered include: the business case for promoting equality and diversity; definitions of equality and diversity; relevant employment law and workplace discrimination.

Fiona Martin, director of Martin Searle Solicitors, explains: “This is a great opportunity for HR professionals, managers and business owners to get a proper insight into the issues surrounding equality and diversity in the workplace and to find out how to benefit from effective policies.”
