89% of Brits would swap their nationality for another, with 67% of men regarding themselves as a bit of an Italian Stallion and 72% of women admitting that they would gladly ditch their gloomy UK life for a taste of Parisian Chic.
A survey of over 2,920 UK men and women found that 89% of Brits would swap their nationality for another, given the chance, with 67% of men regarding themselves as a bit of an Italian Stallion and 72% of women wanting to ditch their UK roots for an elegantly sophisticated life in old Paris.
The survey was commissioned by www.Swapz.co.uk, the unique direct swap website, where 1000’s of people are swapping 1000’s of items daily from clothing and DVD’s to furniture and cars.
Their results found that almost 90% of Brits would happily swap their nationality for another, with 84% claiming the British weather was to blame and 64% claiming they wanted to live in a more cultured community.
The top results for British men:
1) 67% of men would swap their nationality to Italian
2) 18% of men would swap to Australian
3) 6% of men would swap to Swedish

Of the 67% of Italian Stallion wannabes, 61% felt Italian men were the luckiest nation with the ladies and in addition 42% of self-proclaimed football fans admitted that they would happily drop their British roots to join the world cup winning nation.
The 18% of men who would swap their nationality to Australian said the weather and the beach were the main factors. 9% said the barbeques were appealing and 11% said the beach babes were the most attractive element.
Top results for British women:
1) 72% of women would swap their nationality to Parisian
2) 10% of women would swap to Venetian
3) 7% of women would swap to American
4) 6% of women wouldn’t swap their nationality

Of the 72% of women who chose Parisian and the 10% of women who chose Venetian, 66% said they viewed these nationalities as the most romantic nations and in addition 62% said the quality of life looked better.
Other factors that contributed to France and Venice’s appeal were shopping, great food and wine and their culture.
Paul Kay, founder of Swapz.co.uk comments on the findings;
“I witness every day how much us Brits love to swap, but to find out that nearly 90% of us would happily swap our nationality is a surprise, even to me!”
“It’s quite funny to discover that British women are after some culture and romance and British men are after football and ‘beach babes’.”
