London, 3 October 2008: Blogs and Managing Online Reputation is the new half-day training course announced by the PR Training Centre, following the success of its Online PR training courses. The workshop is designed for marketing and PR people who are called on to create or manage a corporate blog, or to engage with bloggers to protect their brand and corporate image in the blogosphere.

The workshop covers how to identify influential bloggers, engaging successfully with the blogosphere, understanding the corporate uses of blogging, appreciating the effects of blogging on your reputation, and strategies for managing the reputation of your company and your brands on the internet. The course also examines the impact of social networks and looks at the opportunities they present for PR.

The course has two presenters, rather than one, both experienced professionals. Richard Milton is a journalist, writer and broadcaster who is the author of six books and numerous high-ranking web sites. Jacqui Green is head of a marketing and PR agency who is in regular contact with the media and has decades of experience in engaging the interest of journalists, editors and bloggers.

Says Jacqui Green, ‘We anticipated that our online digital PR skills workshop would be very popular and we are now following up that demand with a half-day workshop that enables marketing and PR managers to make sure they are fully up to speed on the crucial new area of blogs and blogging. In the age of the blogger, it is all too easy for hard won brand and corporate reputations to suffer at the hands of bloggers. We provide the knowledge and the strategies to defend those reputations.’

The half-day workshop on Blogging and Reputation Management will be held at The PR Training Centre, Covent Garden, London, and costs £345 plus Vat (£295 for each subsequent delegate). The first workshop will be held on Monday, 10th November 2008. For further details see
