3, Toshiba and Amnesty International are among the first brands to use a newly-launched product personalisation company.

skins4things provides custom-made ‘skins’ for laptops, iPods, games consoles and mobile phones. It designs and produces high quality vinyl skins which fit and stick to a range of electronic devices. Skins allow brands to differentiate their products, inject style and personality and get their message across. The company’s creative department works closely with each brand to develop bespoke skins for their customers, and also offers a fitting service.

Digital entrepreneur Alex Meisl is behind skins4things. Meisl, who previously co-founded mobile marketing company Sponge in 2001 and has grown the business to a £5m turnover, believes this is the perfect time to launch his new venture.

“Market projections for electronic device personalisation will exceed $5bn by the end of the decade,” said Alex Meisl, co-founder of skins4things. “skins4things opens up exciting new opportunities for brands and manufacturers to fulfil the demand for personalisation, allowing them and their customers to inject individuality into their products quickly and cost-effectively.”

All skins are manufactured in the UK, offering the benefit of rapid turnaround times. skins4things uses high quality 3M material with ‘Comply Performance’ adhesive which is pressure activated, allows for repositioning and can be removed without leaving any residue. The material avoids air bubbles and is laminated to protect against minor knocks and scratches.

Skins can be used for PR and promotions, corporate branding, gift with purchase and introducing limited editions inexpensively at short notice.

skins4things also has a retail and white-label offering which will be launched in major stores during Q4 this year.
