Internet companies and telecommunications operators will be able to house sensitive equipment in a resilient operational environment and neutral interconnection facility with the opening today of a new facility in London Docklands by Telehouse Europe.

The new building - Telehouse East - offers high specification equipment housing space protected by back-up power supplies, diverse communications links as well as security of access.

As part of the new development, Telehouse has created a secure campus of technical buildings connected by pedestrian bridges to a central administration pavilion restricting access to a single entry point. The new facility and administration centre together add a gross area of over 9,900 square metres to the original Telehouse building - Telehouse North.

“Driven by customer demand, the construction of the new centre will secure the expansion plans of our current clients,” said Michelle Reid, Telehouse, manager, sales and client support. “The significant investment we have made in purpose-built facilities enables Telehouse to provide existing and potential customers with a truly secure and resilient operational environment. A testament to this commitment is the fact that for some of our clients, Telehouse is their only operational presence in the
UK.”

Operational all day, every day, Telehouse offers technologically-advanced equipment suites as well as IT facilities management and business continuity services at its two intelligent data centres in London Docklands as well as a facility in Paris.
